One of the unfortunate risks of having a big house is the threat of burglary. High estate houses are always more attractive targets for both amateur and professional burglars, simply because of the expected wealth to be found inside. Here a few tips to safeguard your house from burglary:
1. Always make your house look occupied. Burglars prefer unoccupied houses because it is less risky for them.
2. Always have light open at light, especially in places like doorways and windows so burglars can be seen easily. You may also choose to install floodlights with motion detectors.
3. Trim any shrubbery that might give a burglar cover, especially those near windows and doors.
4. Invest in good locks as well as a security system. Make sure that all windows and doors are secured with good sturdy locks.
